Armand Prunier
Armand Prunier ( 1875 - 1952 ) Né à Paris, le peintre Prunier est diplomé de l'École des Arts Décoratifs de cette ville. Il se marie à Jeanne Mazé, une jeune Clédéroise avant de s'installer à Kerfissien, en Bretagne dans le finistère en résidence secondaire puis en résidence principale au début des années trente, surtout pour pouvoir peindre les mille et une façettes des paysages marins et de la campagne léonarde. Il décède en 1952, laissant derrière lui des centaines de tableaux qui ne furent jamais exposés, ayant vécu dans l'ombre de sa passion, ne travaillant que sur commande. Le tableau que nous vous présentons, fut peint à Kerfissien et est titré CRÉPUSCULE.
Armand Prunier (1875 - 1952) Born in Paris, the painter Prunier is graduated from the School of Decorative Arts of this city. He married Jeanne Mazé, a young Clédéroise before moving to Kerfissien, Brittany in the Finistere as a second home and then as a principal residence in the early 1930s, especially to paint the thousand and one faces of the seascapes and The leonard campaign. He died in 1952, leaving behind hundreds of paintings that were never exhibited, having lived in the shadow of his passion, working only to order. The picture which we present to you, was painted at Kerfissien, and is titled CREPUSCULE.
